Oh don’t make fun, I know it’s a wonderfully cliche headline, but who can resist? Alas, a Metro rematch would have been quite fun with the Rangers, but hey, the Bolts ain’t no slouches. Certainly not a team to be sneezed at by any stretch of the imagination, the Lightning are going to be one mighty tough opponent for the Devils to overcome, so, uh, let’s hope we see a healthy lineup and an inspired Scott Gomez and Patrik Elias skating out there on that oh-so-wonderful ice. We are surely going to need all the offense we can get.

Predictions?
I’ll pass. Not my Cup of tea. Good luck to Tampa Bay and its fans, let’s hope for a good series!
…Grant Marshall would totally kick ass right about now, by the way.

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this, but Grant Marshall is in fact playing in Lowell right now. Assuming he has a two-way contract, he should be able to be brought up.
If you knew this and referred to it as such, then I look stupid.

Yeah, knew he was playing in Lowell. Heh, I actually went to a Lowell game earlier this year and called out his name during the national anthem. Since we had glass seats, it was hard to miss me…he turned around and looked straight at me, like, “wow, I actually have a fan…?”

That’s the beauty of Lowell. The players can hear everything you say. I just wish I had gone more (read: once) since it’s not far from Boston.

Grant Marshall was the man. I’ll never forget him for 2003.
MrFrisby on Tue, 10th Apr 2007 10:25 pm
Marshall still is the man. He could be bitching and moaning about being in the minors, or he could just retire. Instead, he’s teaching the baby Devils what it takes to be a New Jersey Devil. I’m sure if it wasn’t for the cap problems, we would have seen Grant in “the show” when the injury bug was going around.
It’s nice to hear that you got to give him props in person. Maybe we should send him a card or something, so he knows how many of us fans appreciate him.

That would be nice, I hope that He knows that He does mean something to the Fans, and He was more then a 4th liner, He is a better player then He ever got credit for. Do You Guys remember some of those Sweeeeet passes He used to make? I hope that He will be back next year. I was at the Game when He did the Chicken Dance to Kaspar. I was right behind the glass and He was standing right in front of Me on the ice doing it, it was a riot.
