A note to the New Jersey Devils:
You’d better just be getting all of the losing out of your system before the playoffs start.
If that is the case, fine. But I do have to remind you that you have not yet guarenteed your invitation to the post-season dance just yet.
Get it together already.

Marty has new record: MOST GA FROM THE ROOCKIES IN NHL SEASON. It reminds me home game vs TB. Atleast there we got a win. Who cares if you put 30+ shots on goal. Look at the other team, they got 14 and 3 goals. I was ok with lose against the Rags, they are not walk in park anymore but Islanders missing like 6-8 key players and still beat us. WE ARE NOT DESERVED TO BE IN 1ST PLACE ESTERN NOR ATLANTIC.

No they’re not in the playoffs yet but it would be even worse than the ‘07 Met collapse if they somehow missed, basically the Devils are 5 games up with 8 to play, the magic number is six points. And ninth-place Buffalo just lost to Toronto tonight, which could be a backbreaker for them with their upcoming schedule.
Still they’d better invent an offense for the playoffs because if they can’t score goals against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers they sure as heck aren’t scoring against a real NHL team.

I am sick of our anemic offense making lesser goalies look good. The game is not “hit the guy in the big pads”- if it were, this group would be running away with the championship. We are witnessing a team waste the last years and extraordinary efforts of quite possibly the greatest goalie to play the game, and it is shameful. Too bad salaries can’t be shifted on merit, because Rupp, Zubrus, and Clarkson seem like the only ones interested in trying to play lately. What may be lacking in pure talent they make up for in effort, they seem to enjoy being paid to play a game. This team needs to wake up and cancel their golf reservations or else we are in for a depressing summer filled with the unending chorus of our Atlantic division rivals- even the Islanders can claim dominance- it is just sad.

I’m sick of Lou “not going outside the organization and signing free agents to build our team”. We’ve finished so high in the standings the last 10-15 years that our draft choices …sucked, and it’s really showing up now-a-days. We NEED TALENT up front, we can’t even score an empty net goal. Hey Marty’s not getting any younger, and he’s gonna need a few goals from our guys once in a while in the next few seasons. It’s time for Lou to buy some help this off-season.

I’d be happy if they hit the goddamn goalie’s pads… that would mean the SHOT WAS ON NET!!!!
For Farooq’s sake when it’s MIKE RUPP getting all your offensive chances, you could lie me down in street hockey gear and I’ll stop them all every time too :p
Yes I realize this team ain’t so good, but HOW DO YOU LOSE TO A TEAM THAT’S ONLY OTHER GOAL SCORED ALL WEEK WAS ON ACCIDENT?!?!?!?!
Damn it’s a DISGRACE!!!
God it pisses me off!!
And oh yeah now i’m a bad fan in my section cause I’m pissed at the results… so in the words of #22… whatever……
Least I get to play some hockey of my own tomorrow and feel better about the damn thing (and of course the HS Hockey Finals are today… hooray!)
