Woot 209!!! :-)
I'm heading there once I am done with work!!

Mindy, NoGoalking is an art form and can be used as any part of a sentence :)

I'm more worried about Clemmensieve burning out NEXT MONTH (Like MacDonald has on Long Island)

It's one guy on my nuts about Rolston and he was the idiot who wanted to shoot the team because we laid an egg in Dallas... I can handle him well enough :p

(damn how dare I forget about the glory of a Rupp benching...
Scott, I'm surprised you didn't dock Clemmensen for his "goal he'd like to have back" a game that he seems to allow. Fortunately it doesn't matter... his stats and wins speak for themselves, and the Devils will have Brodeur back for the playoffs, so we don't have to worry about that trend as potential trouble in April and May.

I know some people on NJDevs were criticizing your grade on Rolston, but you were right to cut him some slack on his performance earlier in the month. An ankle injury is tough to come back from (and you know my unfortunate personal experience with that), and part of his recovery from it is to play about 10 games. So in a way, those games don't even count.

A couple of other things the coaching staff has done right: Moving Rolston back to his natural position so that he can get back to where he needs to be, and scratching Rupp for a few games to light a fire under him. The investment in playing an "irrelevant" P3L has paid off by having Rupp play his role more effectively since he came back.

And props for using nogoalik as a verb. :)<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('27625','Mindy'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('27625','Mindy','Scott, I\'m surprised you didn\'t dock Clemmensen for his \"goal he\'d like to have back\" a game that he seems to allow.
This may be me being optimistic, cause they're my favorite players on the team, but I thought Dog and Pando were starting to click together at the end of the month. I wouldn't take anyone else's playing time to give to them, but I get the feeling if they stay healthy, they mat have something left for the end of the season. Remember, they're stats were ridiculously good last year. They also got paired with guys who could score (Elias, Gio) for a lot of the season. The St. Louis pass notwithstanding, Rupp is not going to elevate anyone's offense. They're looking effective on the PK, and they've had some good shifts even ice. I think (hope) some of the scoring will come back.

Similarly, I think Johnny's stats got inflated by playing with Martin for a lot of last season. They're worse cause he's protecting White and everyone has to protect Clemmer, but when Marty gets back, Johnny should be able to take some chances and we'll see how good he really is. I don't think he's that much of a downgrade from Rafalski, though I've never been a huge fan of Rafalski's, so I'm a lousy judge there.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('27575','Mouse'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('27575','Mouse','This may be me being optimistic, cause they\'re my favorite players on the team, but I thought Dog and Pando were starting to click together at the end of the month.
