A thousand apologies. Life aparently never becomes less hectic for any of us, and as such, there’s been little attention paid here. I owe ya, though. Look for a LiveCap at least once next week, either Tuesday or Friday (or, if I’m feeling particularly randy, maybe even both). I wish I could give you some [...]

The Devils hit up the Garden tonight, coming off consecutive losses. And by consecutive losses, I mean consecutive can’t-pot-a-puck-to-save-our-collective-lives shutouts. Vintage Devils sty-lee, allowing only one goal in each (empty netters don’t count) and still losing. Ouch. So tonight it’s the Rangers. First cross-river rivalry game since the 8-5 awesomefest at The Rock two weeks [...]

Sure a loss is a loss — but hey, last night wasn’t that bad. The boys exuded a strong effort in Mo-town and aside from a few unlucky bounces, gave Detroit a bit of a scare. I’d be lying to you if I said I expected much better than what I saw last night. It’s [...]

With the dawn of each new NHL season, I wait very impatiently for the schedule to be released. When it finally is, I plan which games I want to attend, whether or not I’ll take a road trip, and other fun and extremely expensive ordeals. Then there is that game… that one single game that [...]

So, there is a silver lining in the Marty injury saga. It’s a very very small silver lining, barely registering on whatever one uses to measure silver linings. But it’s there, and I’ve found it. The very very small silver lining to Marty’s injury is thus: We can use the Weekeser Beam picture again! Okay, [...]

The injury bug just won’t leave the Devils alone this season. First Brian Rolston’s ankle. Then Bobby Holik’s pinky. Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond’s cracked orbital bone struck a blow to hyphen-lovers everywhere (see what I did there?). And now tragedy has even befallen the man, the myth, the monster…the Mister Andy Greene. Andy apparently took a puck [...]

It’s four games into the season, and the Devils have scored six goals. It’s four games into the season, and the Devils have a .750 winning percentage. Welcome to New Jersey Devils hockey, everybody. Same as it ever was. So the Devils make do with next to no goals. And it looks like that continues [...]

I thought it would be another day or two before we saw the roster but Christmas came a little early this year! The Devils have trimmed their roster down to twenty-three, and it looks a little something like this: You may notice a few surprises such as Petr Vrana & Anssi Salmela grabbing roster spots. [...]

Pre-season action begins tonight! Wee! That’s right ladies and gents, our boys will be suiting up for their preseason opener tonight in Philadelphia, which means we are one gigantic step closer to beginning the season in earnest. Word on the street is that the Flyers will be streaming the game tonight on their website, which [...]

Dearest New Jersey, I don’t like being mad at you. I really don’t. You make it so easy sometimes though. Do you realize that you have surely put me to an early grave? All the antacids, those ulcers are killin’ me. Oh, and I need a lot of dental work too, but that’s just because [...]
