I miss you.Okay, so Cam Janssen is back, Rod Pelley is gone, Brendan Mark Fraser is with the team again, and Richard Matvichuk is still nowhere to be found.

Poo.

Anyone think David Hale will be dumped at the deadline? I dunno about you, but I liked Andy Greene a helluva lot more than Hale.

Devils vs. Rangers tonight. Will Butt-face Avery be in the lineup? I sure hope so. Colin White is due for another asskicking of the little punkster. Oh yay.

Oh yeah.

I liked Pelley. I mean, Janssen is tough as nails, but Pelley reminds me of Claude Lemieux . They’re both gritty, annoying, draw penalties, can throw a hit when required, and Pelley just throws the puck at the net like a machine gun. He’s a keeper.

Why is Fraser being called up?

I believe Fraser is up because David Hale is out with a cold. Hale didn’t even practice, so it must be pretty bad.

I’d like to see Greene up with the club, and I think Julien wanted him up too; but he would put the Devils over the salary cap right now. So he stays in Lowell for the most part.

John, David is out with a “cold,” which in Devils Speak generally means preparations are being made for his funeral. Who knows, maybe he is still having some vision problems. Maybe THAT’S why he’s looked less than solid this year.

Of Greene and Hale, I’d rather have Greene at this point. Hale has, unfortunately, regressed since he first started playing in the NHL. Granted, defensemen generally take much longer to really develop in the NHL, but he’s not getting any younger at this point and we really don’t have the time right now to let him learn from his mistakes and hopefully turn around his play. He WILL be a good defenseman. Will it be with the Devils? I think not.
