_____
The boys have a lot of questions surrounding them, ranging from head coaches to overrated and (soon to be) overpaid centers, but we’ll deal with that another day. I just spent the night driving to and from Albany, so, as you may very well imagine, I’m quite tired.
It was a good season, folks, but the fun doesn’t stop with the (unfortunate) heartbreaking end to the year — I’ll still be around dishing out all the dirt, and Joe will be making some cameos as his schedule permits.
Once again, congratulations to the Ottawa Senators and, hey, let’s give a shout to the boys in Devil black and red as well — they weren’t too shabby all in all, right?
…disregarding the past three games, at least…

What a bummer, at least it was not an actual 4 game sweep, if they played the last 2 periods like they played the 1st they may have had a shot. They seemed to have lost the intensity, they didn’t seem to have that this whole playoff series, like some of the lifers were bored or something, now it makes Me wonder who will go during the off season, I’m pretty sure the Langs line will stay, along with Madden and Pando, but other then that who knows. I think that it’s time for some new blood and maybe a different style of play to keep up with the times. Did anyone catch that Gomez interview after the game? He was teary eyed and speaking in past tense like He has already made up His mind that He’s leaving, He pretty much made it clear that He’s going for $ and that is His main motivation, I guess that You can’t blame Him now is His chance, He likes LA and has family there they have the cap room so He will be well paid and never get to the playoffs, maybe He will go to the Duck pond and play with Nieder, sorry I’m getting carried away with the guessing here. now that the season is over We can have some fun with the guessing game on who stays and who will go.

hey, when i think about it though, the Sen’s didn’t win every game this series. Jersey just lost them is all. They took advantage of our mistakes, and used the momentum when it mattered the most. Emery used his car crash to wake up and realize “life is short. win at least one stanley cup, just in case tomorrow never comes”. We can’t win every year. Or two. But we sure as hell can try again and again. Goodbye 2007, Goodluck remaining teams, and goodluck handling the criticism Mr. Lamoriello

I think Gomez is gone, along with Clemmensen. I’d hate to see Clemmy go, but if he’s only gonna play 4 games a season, it’s not worth it (for him).

Tiffany, you know what though? Clemmensen won’t find work anywhere. He has virtually no resume for teams to look at, and he even said himself the reason he did stay with New Jersey was because he (realistically) knew that he wouldn’t find a job elsewhere. Unfortunately, no team will sign Clemmy, not to a major league contract at least.
I could see him getting a two-way contract maybe with a team like Phoenix, but it’s going to be tough for him. He’s got the tools to be a good 2 goaltender, but no stats and playing time to actually show it.

We need more scoring.. .but without $$$ nothing is gonna be done.. We’re gonna end up losing more than what we gain this off season.

All the trash talk aside, this wasn’t the Devisl year. I think that they made the sens look good. Where was Brodeur when the devils needed him? I don’t want to be a Devils fan when he retires…

I’m calling for a center who can plant himself in front of the net and a defenseman who can go end-to-end. Losing Gomer’s $5 mil could help out.

Congrats on a good run. Unfortunately, like our season, it ended too early. Should be an interesting off-season for everyone!
