Is that a good or bad thing?
Never mind that. I’ll tell you what’s no good, last night’s overtime loss to the New York Shanahans. Seriously, what was up with that game? I did not very much enjoy it. Not for lack of scoring, heck, I love low scoring affairs, but, well, the Devils didn’t play particularly well and the Rangers weren’t all that flashy themselves, save for King Henrik. For sure, he had Mr. John Madden’s number, did he not?
Oh, let’s forget about such trivialities, we have another game to get up for tonight! Yes, the boys embark on the second half of back-to-back games, hoping to lay down a bit of kindling for a new streak to catch fire against the lowly Washington Capitals.
While Black ‘n Red are fresh off the heels of the 1-0 OT loss to the Rangers, the Caps’ spirits may be a bit brighter after completing a 6-3 drubbing of the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday. Never fear though, boys and girls, because let us remember that just a short time ago, the Devils beat the Capitals. 3-2. On Friday. Scott Stevens night. All that jazz.
So, by default, the Devils are way more awesome than the Capitals.
I wonder if there’s a chance that Laser Beam Weekes will get the start in goal tonight. I mean, let’s face it, Marty has surely been amazing and basically the best goalie ever in this stretch of hockey brilliance displayed in “The Amazing Streak,” but dude might need a bit of a break, ’specially after facing lots of rubber last night.
Or, maybe, Marty will start and continue his stretch of dominance.
Who knows?
Alas, enough rambling for now. Game. 7 PM. Watch it. Hang around here. You know how we do those live-caps? We may just indulge you with another one tonight!

what hapened to the live-cap? That call on Mattau was terrible, that was a goal. Only six more minutes until i can go throw up my alligator.

I wanted to barf at that game tonight. Weekesy is good, but I think we need him to play more often because he was showing some serious rust in the first period, and got pretty tired in the second.
Also, Caps fans may be the most ignorant bunch in the NHL.

The lack of a live(lice)cap last night is on me. Throw your tomatos and hatred in my direction, I fell asleep between getting home from work and the start of the game (impressive because the timetable for such a thing to happen was about 15 minutes). I was mighty exhausted and probably would have sucked at livecapping anyway, and judging by the fact that we lost to the worst team in the NHL, maybe it’s all for the better that I just slept through it anyway…

I am not mad at you Josh, and not worried about the Devils play all of a sudden, I am just concerned about Pat’s lice !!!!!!!!!
