Oh, there’s an All-Star game this weekend?
Posted by Patricia Greuter under Jibber-Jabber , Site News!I didn’t know.
Okay, that’s a lie. I did know. I just conveniently decided to ignore it.
Does anyone watch the festivities? I don’t. In fact, I haven’t in years. Nothing against it or anything, I’m just not into all the flashy displays of cherry picking and, uh, non-existent defensive play.
I am a Devils fan, you know. Those things obviously do not mix with rooting for Black ‘n Red.
I’d be a Ranger fan if I enjoyed that stuffs.
Low blow?
Sorry, cross-river rivals. I kid because I love.
Anyway, sorry for the lack-of-coverage this weekend. We were gonna do stuff, really, but it just didn’t happen, on account of me not believing in watching the game (I make it sound like I’m a Jehovah’s Witness or something, I’m really not. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course.), and the other boys either working, drinking too much beer, or working while drinking too much beer. I’m sure they wouldn’t do the latter, though, they are totally good boys. Right guys?
Alas, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming, like, tomorrow or something. I’m sure of it.
If not tomorrow, then definitely Tuesday.
I’m, uh, sure of it.

Booo work. Hooray beer!
I only wish I was drinking while working. That would have made dealing with people WAAAAAAYYY easier.

I’m sure the cocaine helps a lot though.
Kidding, folks. Josh does not do cocaine.
He does meth.
January 27th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
I do not do meth! Lies and heresay!
It’s heroin or nothing dammit.
January 27th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
Oh yeah, that’s right. You know what? I’m so tweaked out right now that I confuse myself with you.
*patiently waits for our entire reading audience to abandon us after this terribly awkward and untrue conversation*

um, OK.
anyway, I actually liked this ASG, even though it was high scoring it seemed like the east was actually playing defense, and the goalies were actually trying. I have to say the first period was the best. You guys should now that Doc got his first NHL assist by distracting DP while talking to him, so Nash could score 16 seconds in. Then the last 15 seconds or so DP did the commentating, watch out Doc, he’s comin for ya!

I live in the UK so there wasn’t even an option to watch the game and associated festivities.
Anyone know how Clarkson did in the YoungStars game? I think I saw him score once in the highlights and try a backwards backhander which someone or other gloved (Legace?). Anyone got any more?
January 28th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Max - basically, what you said is what happened. I think he ended with a goal and an assist, and that pretty backhanded attempt that was stoned by Legace, I believe.
Also, Manny Legace is freakin hilarious. Having him wear a mic and earpiece during the game and SuperSkills was the best thing Versus has ever done.
January 28th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
Cheers Josh. I’ll look out for some of that Legace chit chat on YouTube I guess.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Josh, I agree. Manny Legace was sooo funny. I was so happy that they mic’d him up both for the SuperSkills competition and the game. =]

on the ESPN hockey website, scott burnside lists 25 players who may be moved before the trade deadline and included atlanta’s bobby holik and said that before the season the devils tried to get him from atlanta for john madden…all of which makes me think that the drugs he must be using are waaaaay stronger than whatever ones josh and patricia indulge in…lol
