Life happens.

Dear 2MA readers,

This is what a real identity crisis looks like, no?Yes, there was supposed to be a live-cap of tonight’s Devils game done by yours truly, but unfortunately, a personal crisis prevented me from being able to let my magical fingers shine for you good folk.

Sidebar: I don’t like the term “personal crisis.” It makes it sound like I’m having some sort of identity issue. Or, like, I’m feeling like I need to call, you know, one of those Hope Lines or something. Such is not the case, I assure you.

Alas, I apologize for the lack of live-cap. I will make up for this by giving each and every reader of this site one million dollars.

Awesome, aren’t I?

Just kidding. About the million dollars.

Anyway, I just wanted to post a quick note, so, that’s what’s going on. Thanks for hangin’ in, everyone!

I changed my mind.Yours forever,
Patricia

PS ~ Maybe it’s better off there was no live-cap. I didn’t see the game or anything, but a 4-2 loss to the Penguins? Ouch. So sad.

PPS ~ For those wondering, everything is okay on my end. I thank you in advance for your concern.

If you’re not concerned, that’s cool too, but you don’t get thanks from me, naturally. Hee-hee.

Could have sent us all a million dollars in Monopoly money – you didn’t say it had to be real money :)

Didn’t need a livecap tonight, it was same crap as it’s been (other than Rupp’s surprising offense). Team gets a lead, team blows a lead, Oduya sucks – usual crap.

If you shaved your head I demand pics!

The way we’re playing these days, it should be called a “LIVE CRAP”

If we don’t beat the blueskirts Fri night, there has to be some changes made on this team.
(bench a player or two, light a fire under some asses, I dont know…something)
Where the hell is Zach Parise ????????
he was an all star till Xmas time and fell off a cliff.

Patricia dear, don’t shave your head, please? It’d look.. scary. I like you just how you are, so don’t shave your head.

    Don’t do it.

    Hugs, not drugs.

Don’t worry, I will not be shaving my head anytime soon. Maybe a shorter haircut, but no shaving.

MB, you’re totally e-crushin’ me, aren’t ya? Har har =P

    Mike –
Zach is starting to bum me out, especially since he doesn’t even see a problem in the way he’s playing. He’s been absolutely invisible lately…unacceptable.

Anyone else think that Sergei Brylin is pretty much useless now? I hate to say it, I love Bry-cheese and all, but what has he contributed lately? I’m starting to think the Ruskie ain’t got much left in the tank.

When I saw the pic I am like What the Heck!!! What has gotten to you… Then I realized that was Britney Spears… How silly. Hope all is well with you. Nobody cares for Britney, I think more people care for you ;O)

Patricia….I like wins more than players…so guys like Brylin, Asham, Rupp, who all work hard but never contribute scoring (except for Rupp against the Pens last night, and that was a lucky thing)could be or should be moved, I dont know who would want these guys, or maybe send them down to the minors. When I look back at the great teams we had, our 3rd and 4th liners all scored a little, just to balance it out…..now when Zach and Elias are cold we get shut out and lose games.

You hit it right on the head Mike…. I mean I love Sarge more than the next guy (don’t take that one out of context, heh) but I’d rather get a young guy with a flashy stick for half the price, and half the headaches.

Patty had a great 1st period, but unfortunately nothing came from any of our top forwards. Patty still plays awesome and mistake free hockey, but if any his linemates can’t do anything then he can’t either! You can say the same for Zach as well. So if you want some offensive production, then keep Parise-Elias-Gionta on one line!!!

Don’t get me started on Oduya. Four points against Philly several nights ago, only to make a mistake like that that potentially cost us the game…horrible.

I’m starting to believe that Gionta needs to go. Patty can have his nights when he explodes (Most of those nights occur when he’s playing on a line with Zach, wonder why?), but Gionta is by far one of the most inconsistent forwards on the team. 05-06 is no more while $cott Gomez is long gone, Gio just doesn’t have what it takes to be a first line winger.

Maybe Zach’s hurt, cause that would be the only explanation I could offer up. He’s been playing the same (minus the goals o’ course). Also I’ve noticed he’s getting ruffed up more than usual. But if this team is going to go anywhere, we need him to be the “Zach Parise is more awesome than you” Zach.

If we need to inject a little speed and dangle into the team why not bring up Vrana.

He’s been around enough where we should just give him a chance and see what happens. It’s not crisis mode yet, but why not shake things up a bit and bring up a guy who doesn’t just grind.
