Gotta hand it to Andy Greene though, he scored more goals than the Devils have as a team in each of their last three games…you know..just for the wrong team.
Here’s the deal - unless this team can reinvent itself right before the season ends, we’re toast in the playoffs. Hopefully, we’ll have the diginity of losing to another disrespected team - Ottawa, instead of losing to the NHL’s Poster Team - the Pittsburgh Crosbys/Malkins.
I was looking forward to the cutsie graphics and rants here, but then again I guess you guys were just as shell-shocked as Sutter, even he didn’t say much in the postgame.
I don’t expect to beat anyone in the first round anymore, we can’t play Boston and Philly cause we won’t finish first or second, and I’m not even sure we could beat them now. I’d just rather not go 0-12 against the Rangers.

hope they pull it together soon, hopefully by friday cause it’d be nice to see a win instead of a pounding when you pay alotta money for seats
im just hoping that our streakyness thats plagued this team all year working in our favor. We’ll suck it up the last week or so and then blast through the playoffs on the way to a cup. Keep in mind thats a big HOPE…but im not quite ready to write the devs off just yet.
If we keep gettin’ thumped like this (we have the Pens, then the Rangers next) how close do you all think we are to seeing Louie Lams behind the bench one more time?

It’s October all over again……….and at the worst possible time.
I hope we free fall to 9th place, instead of getting swept in round 1 of the play-offs.

I don’t think there are any easy opponents as the conference is so competitive. It’s really the luck of the draw. Anything can happen.

the devils season is just experiencing a correction.
no way is this team #1 in the east…they’ll probably wind up a 4 or 5 seed…
which is fine by me, getting the top seed is usually the kiss of death in the playoffs anyhow.
oh yeah that disallowed goal was BS…but the way things have been going the last 4 games, that’s just par for the course.
