Yes, it went a bit different than expected, turned more into a chat than a LiveCap. I was the only 2MAer there so I just used the name I registered under – I’ve already registered my own name in the event that more than one of us are there.
I’m interested in hearing feedback both from those who weren’t there and those who were – it seemed to go over well for those who participated, but I see how it could be less easy or interesting for those who aren’t there at the time to go back and read it.
I have to say I don’t like it. It might work fine as a live chat, but it makes a painful post-game recap. The funny is much less effective, your fabulous photo art is missing, and the disjointed comments chop it up to the point of being unreadable.
I just read through the cap from last night (I was at the game, so couldn’t “attend”)… and to be honest, while I think it’s a cool new feature, I liked the old one better because it was more of a “live-cap” rather than a bunch of people chatting about the game. I can go into the njdevs.com chat room for that… y’know? I always liked hearing all of your takes on the different things during the game, with the quirky and quick remarks that keep me coming back to 2MA.
Don’t really like it. I was on the same software for this past year’s NBA Draft and the same problems were present having to jump back and forth through comments to get a clue of what’s going on. Luckily last night’s was less frustrating solely because 2MA doesn’t attract trolls.
Worth the experiment, especially in the pre-season, but I prefer the old live-caps.

I assume all the 2MA comments were yours? If more than one of you’s in livecap at once it may be difficult to tell since it just says 2ManAdvantage.

I didn’t really have a chance to read it too much yet, maybe this evening sometime, you’re right it did seem more like a gameday chat.
And I did get a kick out of the Brass Bonanza comment, especially having a friend who used to be a Hartford Whalers fan.

I think I’d prefer the traditional one too, like someone said you can get a chat room anywhere but the livecaps with graphics are a staple here.
