I’ve long since dedicated my NHL 09 goalie to Clemmensen by sporting his pads, stick, and gloves after Clemmensen’s signature red and black Vaughn apparatus’.

Seriously, this dude has got insane numbers and he started the year as the backup’s backup.

    I have officially pissed myself.

It was AWESOME to be at the game last night.

Scott Clemmensen= Devils MVP for this season. Not just for the season so far, for the rest of the season. I remember not to long ago when someone asked for a picture with him after a game and he went “Wait, you actually know my name?”
I think EVERYONE knows his name now.

Whoever made this picture gets a cookie! :) go devils! Clemm has been awesome for us, but i must say i feel bad for weekes.

    Mmmm, free cookie.

I have to say, it boggles my mind that Kevin Weekes is such a good person about all this. He has every right to be at a Ray Emery layer of douchebaggery right now (or even Scott Clemmensen “I don’t feel like I’m in the NHL” level of two years ago for that matter), but he says all the right things when you know it’s gotta hurt inside.

What’s interesting is that we’ve clearly got one hall of fame goalie, one very good goalie, and one surprisingly good goalie, and we won’t have the latter two after this season. Clemmer’s getting some type of offer somewhere else next year I would imagine, and Weekes would be nuts to sign up for what we’ve put him through again when his contract runs out.

This was Clemmer’s best game by far. I’m still scared with him in, cause he has no control of the game, but he’s coming up huge. Also, we get Marty back for the playoffs, and looks like Clemmer’s gonna get us in with a decent seed. MVP though? Parise carried this team on his back when everyone was gone, and the D in front of Clemmer’s been amazing. This doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been huge, or that he isn’t the reason I have confidence in this team every game, but he’s been a very good player on an excellent team. No more, no less.

I don’t want to sound compulsively negative, I’m just spoiled by Marty. Clemmer’s been huge.

I agree with you though Mouse…I think, at the nearly-halfway point, you have to give Zach team MVP honors right now. Not a knock on Clemmer AT ALL, but Parise’s playing at a better than point-per-game clip, something we haven’t seen on this team in a long while. He’s cooled slightly and still has the possibility of reaching Elias’ single season points record for the Devils.
