Anyone else getting a sense of dej’a vu?? Nah… probably not :p

Anyway… it’s been a long time since I gots to to do what I do and been doing longer then just about ANYONE out there, with a team WORTH the insane amount of effort I put into my own creations (and not like this Vancouver/St Louis game is worth watching… boy my predictions are shitting the bed eh?)… and for the first time EVER… we get to experience REAL, tested and TRUE PLAYOFF HOCKEY in the sorta-shiney new arena!! Got lots of good and tons o’funny to get to (and no I don’t mean the two fat chicks in 210 with Hurri-Dives jerseys on!)

the Good:
– you KNOW someone made a goof bet on Mike Mottau being our first goal scorer in the playoffs on Cameron-levels of retarded odds… and DAMN that mo-fo is partying like it’s 1995 tonight!
– the Rangers may have won tonight… but the Devils DOMINATED… made the trailer-trash hockey stay on it’s heels ALL NIGHT LONG… control the play the shot total was STAGGERING… the Devils were all over this team (kinda going back to my “team coming off a hot streak always cools” theory) and we just simply and harshly… pounded them like VEAL!!!
– Don’t forget also the special teams battle, when the Devils draw twice as many power plays as the Diver-Canes (speaking of… a Caniac should be stalking Glenn Jacobs aka Kane, not anything to do with hockey :p)… you know things are going your way!
– mb30 was solid… he had maybe one, two BIG saves to make… he did make a NICE blocker stop on the Corvo bomb (and that man might need therapy by the time this series is over!)
– the defense was SHARP and all over the puck… and Jesus starting the game with our SLOWEST unit (White/Mottau with Madden and friends… and STILL controlled the game), and complaints will be few and between!!!

the Bad:
– I should also hit my pre-game annoyances… first off something STUNK like poop outside the arena… trying to make it feel like Carolina?? I wanted to go to Brick City for their 5-star burger… but they had an HOUR wait and I was hungry and I was not standing at a bar to eat… ah well.. back to arena bar… and the pasta was ok.. it’s no Sun Tavern (don’t forget the game 3 road party is ON at the bar, and yes Patrick “Clarkson” WILL be working the bar for game 4 people!)… but still to charge me for BOTH sodas I got?? CMONNNNNNNN!!!! That was bush-league and cost him one of my well known excessive tips!!!! I was very letdown by the arena bar… and I skipped the extra beer after the shot of jack… nose shot to spite face (like a certain Buffalo fan I know!)
– well the power play didn’t score… ah…boo :p
– was it just me or did the faceoffs after goals seem AWFULLY fast? Like they wanted to stop us from enjoying the goal… props to 209 for saying FUCK THAT and still doing our HEY.. YOU SUCK… and HURRICANES SUCK (even though I had to check and make sure the chorus was 4 times, thanks Mindy!)
– not that I have much bad… but Jesus that shirt tossing fuckface only gets WORSE in the playoffs (I swear if he ever grabbed my kid and danced with him I’d beat him to DEATH like any parent that even LIKES their kid should… that shit is scarring)…. so anyway… I had to be angry at lil Nicky… he runs down there and gets a shirt from the retard and he’s all excited… people are cheering… I can not… I can condone NO such actions from Sweaty piles of AIDS that don’t involve his painful and firey death.. and BAM… Carolina goal!! (though nice of Langs to come RIGHT BACK and score… if this is a short series that goal will be why)
, but still Nicky gets a BIG -1 for that tonight!!! BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

the Funny:
– best moment in warmups… Parise takes a shot and mb30 nabs it, but as Zach skates by… *flip… de-sticked Marty*… stick goes FLYING through the air… I jump up and yell “*I’M THE MVP NO THIS TEAM BEATCCCCCCHHHHH!!!!!”… high-level but possibly had to be there kinda hilarity!!
– a time honored tradition of Beer Plinko was SORTA brought back to night… as lil Nicky’s Sister (lil Nicky himself was ON FIRE tonight too)… decided to kick the popcorn bucket down the steps…. first try… whiff… second try… down two steps… and dad nabs it… gets booed…. ok … take three… she gets there… kicks and hooks the fucker and it FLIES wide left… and I mean Scott Norwood-like wide left… and BAM right on this old fuckers head!! Dude turns and IS PISSED… which of course makes it funnier… poor Dad had to run over there and smooth things out before grandpa crankypants goes to security… kinda makes me glad I have no kids :p
– Constant WHAAALLLEEEEERRRRRRSSSSSS chants… and that was before we saw the Beluga Twins in 210… good lord that was a lotta woman times 2 (and it did get a nice EAT A SALAD chant!!)
– not to mention the growing expansion of the SHANAHAN!!!! chant… you have to hear it… to get it… so deal with it!
– as much as lil Nicky gets a massive MINUS for going to the kid-touching pervert for a skanky T-Shirt that I could smell from MY seat… his lil dance to “this is how we do it”… 100 stars!! I will you tube that sucker maybe at game 2??

Wow I had a LOT eh?? Well like I said this was a defining night for this team on a defining one for this site… so might as well share the love… it’s not about me… it’s about sharing the true experience after all!!!
